- Abstract
- Here are presented the results of the research of the socio-psychological factors that influence the development of the tolerant attitude of the person. The interrogation included 574 opinions of the of Muscovites. To study the value orientations of the individual used an adapted version of M. Rokeach “Value orientations”. For the diagnosis of psychological properties of the person applied the scale factor 16 Cattell questionnaire (Form C). According to the results, a large role in shaping a tolerant attitude to the views and opinions of others belongs to the peculiarities of value sphere of the person and the severity of certain socio-psychological characteristics. The respondents who demonstrate a tolerant attitude to the views and opinions of others, characterized by the orientation on the values of social responsibility, altruistic values and low expressed the orientation to take risks and competition with others, higher values on the scale of “exposure to the senses - high normative behavior”, lower values on the scale of “timidity - courage”, “conformism - non-conformism”
