Abstract
The content of new concept “research potential” is described as the multidimensional system with different levels of the individual-psychological qualities of the subject of research activity. Its status and place in the system of psychological concepts is defined more precisely. Brief description of the structural-functional model of research potential as the theoretical basis for creating the procedure of estimation of its level in student is given. The procedure of the creation of the questionnaire for estimating of research potential in student taking into account the corresponding psychometric requirements is described. The complete enumeration of the points of the questionnaire, instruction to subject, the order of working with obtained results are presented. The interpretation of the values of the separate scales and integral index of the research potential of student is presented too.
