- Coping-mechanisms as ways of realization of behavior in difficult life situation's overcoming in coordination of coping-strategies with man's reserve and resource potential are examined. The hypothesis that type of relations between ethnic subjects' resource potential and coping-strategies manifest itself in ethno-typical peculiarities of coping behavior have been tested (N = 168 Udmurts and Russians). The results of study of mechanisms of productive coping-behavior - intensification, inhibition, removal, compensation - that reveal actualization of cooping potential possibilities (psychodynamic, personal and socio-psychological qualities) as a functional reserve, subject and inter-subject recourses in the problem situation of cross-cultural communication are presented. Compensatory mechanism of potential for productive cultural communication in the problem situation as inversion (inversion balancing of potential, reserve and recourses of coping) are shown.
