- The article is devoted to the poetic heritage of the famous Russian psychologist, psychiatrist, physiologist and neurologist VM. Bekhterev (1857-1927). The fact that he wrote poetry, occasionally voiced in the literature, but their publication, conceived by his family in the late 1920s, is still not implemented. In this article we published some of his poems, which manuscripts are stored in archive. Our goal is to analyze the features of V.M. Bekhterev's poetry. He started to write poems only in 49 years and this form of leisure became a way of spiritual recreation for him. So, studying his literary works can help modern researcher to reveal the identity of a scientist from a new perspective, to understand the uniqueness and the diversity of his talent. It will also valuable to recreate the complete biographical portrait of V.M. Bekhterev - exactly in verse he expressed most strikingly and consistently his social and political views.
