- Abstract
- The study of moral elite that was started in 2010 and presented in a number of publications by A.L. Zhuravlev and A.B. Kuprechenko has been continued. The idea about appropriateness of separation of a special kind of elite - moral elite is confirmed, its role in social life is specified, its peculiarities are described, the results of empiric research and analysis of the role of moral standards in Russian mentality are presented. Main characteristics of upright man in a sample of people who have achieved success in life (directors of companies, heads of laboratories, institutes and creative groups, doctors, economist, lowers etc.) have been revealed by means of implicit notions about moral (“upright”) man study, factor and content analysis as well. The results are comparable (or even congruent) to previously done hypothetic description of moral elite's peculiarities. The conclusion about availability of “moral elite” conception and researches in the field was drawn.
