Abstract
The ability to control interhemispheric relations in the central regions of the cortex in the alpha frequency range was investigated at 17 volunteers using biofeedback. It is indicated that after a short period of training subjects not only able to move arbitrarily the focus of the maximum expression of alpha-frequency towards the left or right hemisphere, but also to do it in the sufficiently local area. Multivariate analysis of variance showed all subjects were able to achieve changes in the monitored parameters, but changes not always reliable. Control effectiveness of inter-hemispheric relations varied significantly among individuals with different severity levels of personal features as psychoticism, extraversion and steadiness of nerve processes.
