- Abstract
- The research is devoted to the description of oculomotor patterns in the process of aiming in archers. Parameters of oculomotor activity of sportsmen subject to sex, complexity of tasks, and experience of shooting from different types of bows are evaluated. 27 archers participated in the research; including 13 girls with average age of 17.5 years and 14 boys with average age of 18.5 years. According to the goals of the research, all subjects were divided into three groups in compliance with the type of bow: classics - sportsmen who shoot from basic bow, compounds - sportsmen who shoot from compound bow and universalist - sportsmen who have an experience of shooting from both types. Participants successively performed series of simulating the shooting tasks which were differ in habitualness and complexity. Registration of oculomotor parameters was carried out by means of mobile system Eye Tracking Glasses SMI. Statistically significant differences in peculiarities of oculomotor parameters in simulating shooting among archers with experience of shooting from deferent types of bows were revealed. So far as time of fixation, to authors’ view, is connected directly with precision and stability of aiming, the conclusion that the experience of shooting from different types of bows forms different oculomotor parameters when fulfilling aiming tasks was drawn
