Abstract
Perspective trends in psychological researches of strategic stability and nuclear deterrence in international relations are considered in the article. A conceptual language for problem's description is analyzed; the specific character of psychological peculiarities of nuclear confrontation - virtuality of nuclear threat, phenomenon of risk and trust, peculiarities of "lose-lose" relationships, psychological peculiarities of political leaders - is defined. An international review on the problem is given. The most important scientific problems - intergroup relations "lose-lose", socio-psychological aspects of nuclear terrorism, interpretation of nuclear threat in mass's consciousness, psychological mechanisms of trust and risk in nuclear confrontation - are marked out in the conclusion.
