Abstract
Correlation between profi les of lateral asimmetry and characteristics of self-regulation was studied. The hypothesis that individual profi le of lateral determines individual differences in self - regulation was verifi ed. 75 students took part in the investigation. Persons with evident left-brain characteristics have high general level of self-regulation, problem-oriented coping behavior, and preferences of cognitive reappraisal to emotional state suppression. Comparison of groups with different types of manual asymmetry revealed that persons with mixed profi le of asymmetry (ambidecstres) demonstrate intersive support symptoms of distress and seldom use social in coping with stress than other groups.
