- Abstract
- The meaning and use of “resilience” in psychological literature is discussed. The analysis of understanding of “resilience” in philosophy, cybernetics, history, economics and social sciences is done; the origin of the given term in literature is described. The differences between notions are shown. Resilience is defined as ability to cope with unfavorable life conditions with faculty for rehabilitation and use of all possible internal and external resources, capacity for life in its all manifestations, ability to exist and develop.
