Abstract
The study presents adaptation and validation of Sensitivity to Punishment and Sensitivity to Reward Questionnaire (Junior-SPSRQ) in a sample of 1380 adolescents aged 10 to 18 years. Confi rmatory factor analysis provided support for the four-factor hierarchical model, Sensitivity to Punishment comprised Fear and Anxiety, and Sensitivity to Reward comprised Reward Responsivity and Impulsivity. The scales showed adequate internal consistency and discriminant validity across gender and age. Sensitivity to Punishment was higher in girls; while Sensitivity to Reward was higher in boys. Sensitivity to Punishment, Fear and Reward Responsivity decreased with age. Correlations with personality traits and behavioural problems supported validity of the Junior-SPSRQ scales providing evidence for the constructive (Reward Responsivity) and destructive (Impolsivity) components of Sensitivity to Reward component.
