- Abstract
- Present-day level of interaction between research and practical psychology, schizis between which is traditionally discussed by psychologists, is considered. Their imbalance is shown to remain in spite of observable cognitive and social tendencies to approachment. At the same time, according to the authors opinion, existing notion about schizis to a large extent is the result of inadequate expectations in respect of academic psychology as well as to underestimation of differences in social functions of fundamental and applied sciences.
