- Abstract
- The results of correlations' study between spouses' personal peculiarities and characteristics of their behavior in conflict situations are presented. Comparative analysis of value orientations' structure, aggression, defense mechanisms and basic needs of husbands and wives with different levels of behavior activity in conflicts are carried out. Gender differences in the characteristics of the spouses' behavior in family conflict and their attitudes towards it are revealed (n = 112): the women's behavior in family misunderstandings are initiated by the importance of personal values and realization of personal interests while men's behavior - by the intention to avoid active behavior which is a source of neuropsychic tension for them.
