Abstract
The main statements about determination of thinking within A.V. Brushlinsky’s continuous-genetic approach to thinking study are examined. His ideas about procedural nature of thinking are reinterpreted and developed in present-day psychology of thinking. Studies of components of psychological content of thinking as important determinants for its functioning are presented. The most differentiated structure of cognitive and semantic aspects of thinking is proposed from the position of subject-activity and system approaches in psychology. The prospects for thinking analysis and study in the structure of intelligence are defined.
