- Abstract
- The conception of factors of unconfirmed information spreading more known as the basic law of rumor by G. Allport and L. Postman and its further modifications are described. The necessity of taking into account rumor arising factors' typical for collective subjects of the given communication - temporal micro-groups formed for the discussion of actual information - is grounded. In the process of micro- group analysis the following factors are described: homogeneity of psychological states of interlocutors in interpretation of problem situation, collective acknowledgment of the rumor as relevant to the case, forming of interlocutors' sense of solidarity. Advantages of micro-group analysis application to the problem of competition of different variants of rumor's contents are estimated.
