- Abstract
- The problem of mediation – one of the fundamental problems in psychology – is discussed. Its historical-philosophical and historical-psychological analysis is given. L.S. Vygotsky’s and A.V. Brushlinsky’s approaches to the problem of direct and mediated processes correspondence are compared purposefully. On the basis of Brushlinsky’s understanding of stated by S.L. Rubinstein determinism principle three research tasks: to reveal the substance of object and functions of mediation; to determine destination of mediation subject; to reveal the unity of direct and mediated are allotted. The results of author’s theoretical and empirical studies confirming stated in Brushlinsky’s works ideas are discussed.
