- Abstract
- Body representation (real, ideal, thick, thin) in two groups of women of different ages (group 1 - 40 per., M = 21.8, group 2 - 40 per., M = 45.6) were studied. Computer procedure "My body image" makes it possible to measure on-line corporal parameters (shoulders, waist, hip, legs). Gender identity was measured by means of MIF technique. Dominant factors representing body models of real, ideal, thick and thin body were obtained by means of factor analysis. Analysis of contrasts (bodily parameters were sorted out according to the type of gender identity) was conducted. It is shown that different types of gender identity update in different tasks (in two groups).
