Abstract
The possibility of application of psychogenetic analysis to the study of formal-dynamic characteristics in concordance with V.S. Merlin's' theory of integral individuality is discussed. The main goal was to study the role of genetic and environmental factors in the characteristics of the formal-dynamic level. The results were obtained on the material of two twins' samples (155 twins aged 13-17 and 18-25). V.M. Rusalov's "Questionnaire of formal-dynamic characteristics" was used for diagnostics. The influence of genotype on formal-dynamic characteristics was shown to explain not less than 50% of the variability of characteristics; age succession can be traced only for some characteristics; the structure of temperamental characteristics' phenotype relations is relatively constant
