- Abstract
- Correlations between work engagement and professional burnout were studied on the sample of consumer services employees (n = 107). The hypothesis that burnout and work engagement are correlated negatively, but they can’t be reduced to the poles of one and the same scale was tested. Several types of combinations of work engegament and burnout levels were revealed, one of which combine feebly marked levels of the both phenomena. Characteristics of activity and seniority play an important role in determination of types of variables’ compatibility.
