Abstract

Psychological essence of S.L. Rubinstein’s conception of freedom is explicated. Its methodological basis is considered - the principles of determinism, consciousness and activity unity. The significance of the main propositions for further studying of freedom phenomen is shown. The ontological, epistemological and axiological aspects of Rubinstein’s understanding of freedom are distinguished.
