Abstract
Syndrome of burning-out is described as a theoretical and empirical construct. Psychosocial factors of decreasing of psychological stability of subject of activity are considered. The results of empirical research of burningout syndrome made with the Questionnaire of behavior and experience related to work (AVEM - Arbeitsbezo- genes Verhaltens- und Erlebensmuster, was elaborated in Institute of Potsdam University) are discussed. The test’s construction is analyzed, psychometric adaptation to Polish conditions is verified. The results of questionnaire's usage in the sample of teachers are considered. Four main types of behavior in professional environment are described: “healthy”, “saving”, “risk type A”, “burning-out type”.
