Abstract
Syndrome of burning-out is described as a theoretical and empirical construct. Psychosocial factors of decreas­ing of psychological stability of subject of activity are considered. The results of empirical research of burning­out syndrome made with the Questionnaire of behavior and experience related to work (AVEM - Arbeitsbezo- genes Verhaltens- und Erlebensmuster, was elaborated in Institute of Potsdam University) are discussed. The test’s construction is analyzed, psychometric adaptation to Polish conditions is verified. The results of ques­tionnaire's usage in the sample of teachers are considered. Four main types of behavior in professional envi­ronment are described: “healthy”, “saving”, “risk type A”, “burning-out type”.
