The concept of personal psychological space is put forward and is considered in the context of psychotherapeutic practice and psychology of personality. There are discussed the presuppositions of this concept in ethology and different schools of psychology of personality. The data obtained in preliminary researches of asocial be havior, family interaction and distance in marriage are presented. There are discussed some patterns of psycho logical space ontogenesis in conditions of normal and deviant socialization. The perspectives of further studying of personal psychological space are defined.
