Abstract
The attempt was made to differentiate and analyze the characteristics of mental representations of four basic emotions (joy, sorrow, fear, anxiety) in school children of 9-10, 11-12 and 14-16 years old who are studying in general and musical-choreographic schools. The methods of direct exteriorization of mental representations in pictures and motions on the scene and describing of specially chosen musical fragments correlated with these emotions were used. The data obtained let to reveal some steady figured, dynamic and spatial invariant patterns of emotional representations. Their peculiarities correlated with age and studying in musical-choreographicschool were described, too.
