The childhood is proposed to consider as the culture-historical phenomenon and the problem of muliidisciplinaiy analysis. The historical formations of childhood and its function in the culture creation aic revealed. The icstrictions ol the traditional social-cultural paradigm of the childhood and child development aie defined. The perspectives of ihcir overcoming are planed. The specific historical and psychological circumstances of child development in contemporary conditions are revealed. The problcmaiiz.aiion ol sociat-and-culiural experience is considered as the source of mental development in ontogenesis tieiermimng the creative dominance of the last one. The concept of inversion act is proposed m relation to its phenomenological correlates.
