Abstract

The review of the translation into Russian of the 6th book of the Codex Iustinianus shows the significance of this translation, and also notes that an important primary source is being introduced into domestic scientific circulation. Attention is drawn to the fact that the very high quality of the 6th book of the Codex Iustinianus into Russian was provided by a team of translators who managed to take into account all aspects of this late Roman source of law: legal, linguistic and historical, and thus avoid many errors and inaccuracies
