Abstract

The article outlines the state and main challenges of the Japanese defense industry complex and the role of the private scientific and technological sector in the framework of cooperation with the United States. The Indo-Pacific is Washington’s priority region and countering risks and threats is impossible without comprehensive interaction with one of Washington’s key allies.
