- Abstract
- The phenomenon of postmodernism, as it has manifested itself in modern sociology, is considered from the point of view of the ambiguous consequences of this postmodern paradigm that we are seeing today. In particular, we are talking about what abandoning the principle of universalism in favour of a solely relativistic point of view (recognition of all social conditions equal in their identity) not only dramatically changed the epistemological apparatus of sociology, but also affected the ontological sphere of this science in the sense that the way society deontologists to the countless and arbitrary varieties virtual (simulacra) objects. Relying on the practical value of such a sociology becomes problematic, and morally it is on the verge of moral nihilism.
