- Abstract
- The article focuses on methodological issues of studying young people in the context of an economic downturn or the consequences of the impact of this crisis on young people. The authors critically analyze various indicators of the socio-economic situation of young people and emphasize the advantages of a life-style approach to the study of youth everyday life, which allows us to determine the determinants of everyday life that are formed and become significant as part of a biographical project and personal preferences. This, in turn, helps to assess the impact of new external circumstances (such as the financial crisis), which can be perceived individually and have an unpredictable effect. The established style structures of labor or educational behavior, consumer preferences, relationships with parents, and participation in social activities have a significant impact on how the circumstances of the financial crisis fit into the lives of young people.
