- Abstract
- The results of the empirical study of intentional structure and dynamic traits of interaction in informal everyday discourse are presented. Using the method of intent-analysis the authors describe 58 everyday dialogues of students (M = 29 turns, min = 5, max = 195): men (N = 6) and women (N = 28) aged 17 to 21 years studying in one group and well know each other. Speech interaction is considered as a combination of coordinated intentional patterns that include actual intentions of speakers and responses оf interlocutors. Actual intentions of communications' subjects, their hierarchical organization and dominant direction in everyday discourse among students are characterized. The study shows flexible intentional mechanism for the coordination of utterances revealing in the variable responses such as combined, multiple, confirmative/rejecting, immediate/delayed. The cases of ignoring the communication partner's intention are associated with situational, conventional and communicative factors.
