- Abstract
- In the article we compare concepts of the danger in TV-news and in the worldview of the audience. Five operating parameters of danger concept are suggested. The effect of the viewing of news stories on the emotional and cognitive components of the danger concept is shown. We found that viewing of TV-news can lead to increasing of anxiety and to changing of some of the operating parameters of danger concept. These changes may distort the concept of the danger in human worldview. It was found that this effect is more expressed at the female audience than at the male audience.
