- Abstract
- The analysis of scientific and pedagogic activity of V.N. Ivanivskiy during his work at Kazan Imperial University is given. Original and previously not published materials on scientist’s activity are presented. V.N. Ivanivskiy’s theory about cultural systems is described, detailed classification of cultural systems is given. From V.N. Ivanivskiy’s position psychological understanding of origin and development of culture as a phenomenon, which is compared with different aspects of man’s psyche, is proposed. Review of historical-and-pedagogical activity of V.N. Ivanivskiy is given, his views on history and methodology of associative psychology are described. Contribution of V.N. Ivanivskiy to organization of psychological science and education in Russian is evaluated.
