- Abstract
- Psychological and psychophysiological characteristics of infants' mothers that predetermine expectancy of abolishing inborn diagnoses are described. 100 mother-infant dyads participated in the research. Infants' diagnoses received at birth and efficiency of recovery during first two years are described. Mothers' level of attachment and cardiorhythm's variability when recalling emotional situations connected with the child were assessed. Expectancy of diagnosis's abolishing is shown to be correlated with the level of mother's acceptance of child and peculiarities of reaction of her sympathetic nervous system in emotional situations of different modalities. Characteristic of attachment - “support” - is connected with the character of variability of her cardiorhythms when recalling positive and negative emotional situations as well. Characteristic “immediacy” correlates with reaction only for positive situations. Psychophysiological mechanism ensuring relationship of attachment with more effective child's recovery is discussed.
