Abstract

The results of critique-analytical survey of empiric studies of gender problem in sport psychology are presented. Main problems in conducting gender researches in the given area (motivation of coming into sport, sport socialization - masculine/feminine, command/individual kinds of sport) are specifi ed. The results showing that sport, in toto, is the cause of disturbance in standard process of persons gender socialization as well as data about mainly androgenic type of sportsmens of both sexes are given. The conclusion about insuffi cient study of gender psychology problem in the sphere of sport activity is drawn. In domestic psychology the given approach is at the starting point and has high scientifi c-and-practical resources for future development.
