- Abstract
- Comparative analysis of foreign and domestic conceptions of subjective well-being is presented. Subjective well-being is considered as a part of self-regulation’s system based on personal values. The study shows that subjective well-being results from the gap between the one’s values and his/her possibility of realization. The current research indicates, on the one hand, that meaning-system has a mediating position between subjective wellbeing and aspiration for change. On the other hand, personal meaning may be considered as a component of the buffer system that does subjective well-being more stable in the cases of discrepancies between rates of value’s importance and accessibility.
