- Emotional hearing (EH) is defi ned as ability to identify emotional expressivity in speech, singing and music. The description of author's nonverbal psychoacoustic methods of EH identifi cation and assessment including computer one are given. Psychophysiological basis of EH, its correlation with emotional intelligence, empathy and another psychological characteristics are considered. The results of experimental study of EH in representatives of different age and professional groups are presended.
