Abstract
The infl uence of A.R. Luriyas ideas and personality on different spheres of Italian psychology and neurology is analyzed. General psychological propositions: cultural-historical understanding of mental functions development, their social determinancy, interest in single case are marked out. Luriyas methodological approach to neuropsychological diagnostics is discussed. A.R. Luriyas activities as the fi rst author and a member of editorial board of Italian international magazine Cortex are described.
