- Abstract
- Theoretical analysis of Russian and foreign researches of forgiveness is presented. Forgiveness is considered as interpersonal communication phenomenon which implies the participation of two subjects: forgiving and seeking for forgiveness, the accent being made on personal activity of the forgiveness subject. Substantial and procedural characteristics of forgiveness are revealed: substantial ones imply person's affective, cognitive and behavioral aspects, while procedural ones are described as passing through a certain stages. Perspectives for development of theoretical and empirical studies of forgiveness as intersubject approach are outlined.
