- Abstract
- Psychological notions about person's conscience formulated in the frameworks of sociocentric and anthropocentric approaches are considered and compared in the article. The "conscience" notion is compared with such categories as self-consciousness, duty, feeling, good, responsibility and freedom. Defi nition for "conscience" as complete integral state of sympathy, empathy, participation in "being-in-world" refl ecting the measure of coincidence between person's existence and essence and experienced as selfrealization action in situations of moral choice is formulated.
