Abstract
I.M. Sechenov's idea about adequate reflection of reality by brain in the form of images or signs congruent to objects and phenomena of outer world are confirmed on the basis of P.K. Anohin's theory of functional systems. It is shown that in the process of subjects' inner needs satisfaction the objects of reality are imprinted in the form of their informational equivalents on the structures of acceptors of action's results of functional systems of psychic activity. "Imprints of reality" are extracted according to holographic principle by dominant motives without the loss of informational significance of the results which are contented to subjects' initial needs. System modeling of psychic activity reveals the mechanism of adequate reflection of reality by the brain.
