- Hypothesis oi correlation between personal traits and physiological processes in normal and emotional stress con i ions was verified. Heart rate and arterial tension in students of medical departments (Ss = 102) were measured, during semester and before examination. To assess the activity of vegetative nervous system there were usee heart rate variability and Kerdo vegetative index. The level of personal and reactive anxiety was assessed wi h opilbeiger s questionnaire and personal traits - with Cattel’s questionnaire (16 PF, form C). It was found t tat in people tending to control emotions and to express it in socially acceptable way sympathetic nervous system is more activated in stress.
