Peculiarities of impulsivity/reflectivity and rigidily/flexibility of congnitive control styles in subject.s with high and exceptionally high IQ score were studied in comparison with control samples of students with low IQ and pulils of correction classes. The phenomenon of splitting of styles poles is considered. The results of cluster analysis allow is regard IQ as a psychologically ambiguous construct. For examlle, splitting with exceptionally High IQ score (> 120) have specific cognitive style qualities that can impede intellectual productivity (including deficient level of reflective mode of information processing and extreme disintergration of verbal and sensor functions). In subjects with low IQ style qualities appear to be potential intellectual resource.
