- Abstract
- Archival documents shed new light on the history of Strela (Arrow), the first aircraft with a triangular wing. These materials allow corrections of some errors in the existing literature regarding the chronology and the process of designing and testing Strela in 1934-1938. The records also show that the motivation for the project came from intelligence reports of a similar attempt underway in Japan.
