- Abstract
- In this article is analyzed social policy in respect of the veterans World War II in Russia and the USA. Examination of the legislation has allowed to identify main areas of the social protection of participants in the civil society. As a result, veterans of the war were recognized privileged-governmental groups, having additional social guarantees. Their status has become ideological, because it demonstrated the effectiveness of social policies of the two competing states, the USA and Russia.
