- Abstract
- The article considers the contribution of the Polish sociologist and historian of cultureStefan Czarnowski to the development of the memory studies, exploration of the role of cultural memory and formation of national identity. Czarnowski had also studied problems relevant for the humanities, such as the correlation between history and memory, the politics of memory, transmission of cultural images and values.
