Abstract

The article treats migrations to the territory of Slovenia. Special attention is paid to migrants from the republics of former Yugoslavia, history, as well as social and economic reasons of these migrations are considered. Own statements of Slovenians and migrants to Slovenia, interviews held with them are used to make conclusions about intercultural adaptation. The problem of language adaptation of migrants remains acute. In Slovenian society, this question is connected with the population’s attitude to the Serbian-Croatian language.
