Abstract
Personal characteristics of Afghanistan combatants (n = 89) are examined. It is revealed that combating exert prolonged influence on war veterans' personal characteristics. Differences in personal characteristics of veterans with different degree of post-traumatic stress disorder are revealed. These differences appear in personalpsychological characteristics, life-meaning orientations and the conception of Self. Correlation between personal characteristics and the degree of post-traumatic stress disorder is discovered.
